A German trekker, Astrid Weisser, went missing after leaving Khopra Danda Community lodge on November 25th 2025. She was trekking alone.
Sadly a search party found her deceased at the bottom of cliff between Khopra and Bayel on December 1st 2025.
The area has not been used for several years by trekkers, however it still appears on many online maps. There is also a lack of proper signage in the area.
