Further information on missing trekker

Hui Ju Chien was returning from Annapurna Base Camp with a guide and group of trekkers including her husband Koaij Yang. On September 15th reports say they encountered a broken bridge and decided to cross the Himku river by foot.

The river swept Hui Ju Chien away with no trace. A police team was dispatched to Ghandruk but bad weather has hampered the search on the 16th of September.

Update: The body of Hui Ju Chien was 53 days after her disappearance. Her family went to Nepal and brought her body home to Taiwan.
