Further information on missing trekkers

MissingTrekker.com was notified by local Nepali about two trekkers who went missing in the Langtang ares on September 22nd. MissingTrekker.com has endeavoured to gain more information about the missing trekkers but have run into nothing but obstacles in Nepal.

Not even full names are being released despite them being available to both TAAN and Nepal Tourism Board. Similarly photographs of the trekkers are not being released despite a full scale Nepali search for the trekkers.

Having photographs and physical descriptions along with full names of missing trekkers is essential to both raising awareness that they have gone missing. Identifying them and helping in the search.

While we usually don’t publish missing trekker posts without facts local media has continued to provide search updates. As such we are releasing this information as is.

The two trekkers were last seen at Thuman Village on September 22nd 2019. Search teams were hampered by heavy rains. The last known search was on October 2nd.

Update: It’s being reported by Dutch Media that Thomas was discovered deceased at the foot of a cliff in the area. It is presumed he and his trekking partner got lost.

Si Sung’s body was found on October 12th in what is reported to be a populated area.

It is also reported that the organisation both trekkers worked for does not want the full details of their deaths made public hence the lack of information.

Our thanks to the reader who brought this information to us.
